South Africans researching weight-loss injections deserve information that's accurate, current and actually about their context — Rand prices, local pharmacies, local medical aids and SAHPRA registration — not recycled global content or a thinly disguised advert. That gap is why this site exists.
We cover multiple medicines, the risks as well as the benefits, cheaper alternatives, and the times these medicines are not the right choice. When treatment is appropriate, we point you to a consultation with a registered provider — the same way any health publisher links to a service.
How we stay independent & balanced

- We publish risks, side effects and costs prominently, never just benefits.
- We make no outcome guarantees and run no medical-claim testimonials.

Who we are
For the site owner
Lerato is a Durban-based health writer and editor who has covered medicine, public health and consumer affairs for South African outlets for over a decade. She leads commissioning, fact-checking and the price and coverage research on this site.
Our medical reviewer is an HPCSA-registered South African medical doctor with a special interest in metabolic health and obesity medicine, who reviews the clinical accuracy of pages on this site against current SAHPRA registration status, manufacturer information and the published trial evidence.
